MIDTOWN RECONSTRUCTION ENTERS NEXT PHASE
Central infrastructure recovered rapidly after the Fall while outer districts continue to report inconsistent service.
NEW EDEN — Midtown reconstruction entered its next phase this week as crews reopened two transit corridors, restored permanent power to three civic blocks, and began structural work around the former central exchange.
The district recovered more rapidly than many outer neighborhoods because of its proximity to the H.E.R. administrative core and surviving underground infrastructure. Officials acknowledged that service remains inconsistent beyond the central grid.
The current phase prioritizes water pressure, residential access, communications routing, and the removal of unstable Fall debris. Several streets will remain closed while survey teams inspect buried resonance damage.
Residents can review closure notices at municipal kiosks or through the H.E.R. public information network. Unmarked work zones and unauthorized salvage operations should be reported immediately.
